Accurate brine injection

GEA AccuJector

Step into the 2mm brine injection technology and benefit from precise and accurate brine distribution. The GEA AccuJector is designed for delicate parts such as boneless or bone-in poultry, beef steaks, pork filets and low-profile fish. It has the closest needle pattern available which leaves minimal needle marks on the products.

Dense needle pattern for high yields

The GEA AccuJector is equipped with 2mm OptiFlex needles system for optimal brine distribution, excellent brine retention and minimal drip. The 2mm brine injection system features an advanced needle head to accurately control the individual needles that are adjusted automatically by air pressure. Needles retract and stop injecting if obstructed by a bone to avoid brine pockets and bone damage. Because of the close needle pattern, for some applications tumbling is not required. This means the machine can run in-line and products can be packed immediately after injection or transported directly onto a further processing line.

GEA MultiJector 2mm OptiFlex needles

2mm OptiFlex needles

At the heart of the GEA AccuJector are the unique 2mm OptiFlex needles that combine flexibility with exceptional strength. They are significantly stronger than traditional stainless steel and will flex and recover their shape. This prevents bent or broken needles ensuring equipment uptime and consistent product quality. The 2mm OptiFlex needles help avoid over or under-cured areas and promote consistent taste, color and shelf life.

Individually controlled needles
GEA AccuJector | Brine injector with individually controlled needles

The GEA AcuJector optimizes brine distribution in the product, around and even under bones, resulting in the smallest possible deviations and optimal brine retention with minimal drip. Needles retract and stop injecting if obstructed by a bone to avoid brine pockets and bone damage.

Shaking after injection with GEA MultiShaker
GEA MultiShaker

GEA MultiShaker

Shaking the product after injection removes excess brine and closes needle marks. The massaging action actives proteins to improve the water holding capacity of the final product. Shaking allows improved yields by reducing post-injection purge and potential cooking losses.

Inline tumbling with GEA RotoDrum
Inline tumbling with GEA RotoDrum

To remove brine from the cavities, the GEA RotoDrum moves the product through the drum in a spiraling motion as it turns. It also gives a massaging effect causing protein activation to increase brine retention and to close remaining needle marks.
